The voltage required for the engine to start is sent by the Ignition System based on the 12v battery. Through the spark plugs, the system provides the voltage and in this way, the fuel mixture is ignited. In this complex process, components such as distributor, coil, and spark plugs, among others, are responsible for carrying the necessary voltage.

The fault code P1304 OBD2 in certain manufacturers is used to indicate that problems have occurred in the operation of cylinder 4 of the engine, which has deficiencies in the ignition.

Symptoms of fault code P1304

  • Check Engine lamp illuminates.
  • The engine has trouble starting.
