P0581 - CRUISE CONTROL MULTI-FUNCTION INPUT "A" CIRCUIT HIGH
Description of DTC code P0581
Cruise control is a system developed to obtain better results in driving the vehicle. With this system, the driver sets a speed employing certain buttons that are placed on the steering wheel or steering column, and in this way, the driver doesn't need to press the accelerator pedal to maintain a speed. Also, if the vehicle's transmission is automatic, the cruise control adjusts the shift points as required by the driving condition and set by the driver.
When the DTC P0581 OBD2 code is set, it is due to the cruise control or multifunction input circuit "A" having a voltage above the parameters set by the manufacturer.
