C1501 RAM, DODGE, CHRYSLER, JEEP: TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR 1
The Tire Pressure Sensor is installed in the pressurized pocket, which consists of a tire and wheel. The function of this sensor is to measure how much air pressure is inside the tire, then transmit that data via a low-frequency radio to a respective controller. Depending on the manufacturer, this device may have a display on the dashboard, through which the data obtained by it is indicated, and if any warning condition occurs, it turns on a light that warns of what is happening. These types of sensors contribute to the vehicle’s safety levels.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) continuously monitors the performance of the Tire Pressure Sensors. If in these checks the acceleration or pressure data provided by the Tire Pressure Sensor 1 is not received, the fault code C1501 OBDII will be set.
