C1202 - FAULT CODE - OBD2
C1202 Code failures by brands
C1202 CHEVROLET: LEFT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR NO SIGNAL.
Description of DTC code C1202
At the start of a vehicle wheel spinning, an AC voltage is produced from the Wheel Speed Sensor. This voltage is sent to the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU), which uses it to calculate how fast the wheel is turning. It is important to note that torque greatly reduces the susceptibility to noise, resulting in a DTC being set.
The Chevrolet vehicle manufacturer states that when the C1202 OBDII fault code is set, it is because a malfunction has been found in the Speed Sensor circuit for the left front wheel. The reason for this condition is that the signal that the sensor is expected to send is not present.
